1. Information we collect

• Information you give us: your first name, email address, birth date, birth time, birth place, relationship status, and the answers you provide in our quiz.
• Purchase information: if you buy a reading, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive confirmation of your purchase; we do not store your full card details.
• Information collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and similar usage data, via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

2. How we use your information

• To calculate your astrological birth chart — and, for forecasts, upcoming planetary movements — from your birth details, and to compose and deliver your personalized reading. (How your reading is made.)
• To send you the reading you requested and, where you have opted in, related emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and Service.
• To measure and improve our advertising (see Section 4).

Legal bases (where GDPR applies): performing our contract with you (delivering your reading), your consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests (security, analytics).

3. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it:

• Hosting & infrastructure: Cloudflare.
• Location lookup: as you type your birth place, suggestions come from Photon (operated by Komoot) using OpenStreetMap data; we may also use OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service. These convert your birth place into map coordinates so we can calculate your chart. Your chart is then computed by open-source astronomical software running on our own servers.
• Reading generation: OpenAI, which composes the wording of your reading from your first name, your computed chart, and your quiz answers. Your information is not used to train AI models.
• Payments: Stripe.
• Email delivery: Resend.
• Advertising & analytics: Meta (Facebook/Instagram) via the Meta Pixel, to measure and target ads.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and pixels (including the Meta Pixel) to keep the Site working, understand usage, and measure/target advertising — for example, to show ads to people who visited but didn't finish. You can control cookies through your browser settings; where required, we ask for your consent first.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents may request to know or delete their information and to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" (note: we do not sell your data). To exercise any right, email [email protected] and we'll respond as required by law. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it.

7. Security & international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we'll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
